WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR PAINT JOB

Gallery/Primered_car.JPG

Probably the two most important things to remember when trying to get a good finished paint job are sanding and priming.  Any imperfection that you see before the paint is applied will be seen with paint on it.  Sand all rough spots until completely smooth.  Consider using an orbital sander or a Dremel tool sander to accomplish this.  When priming, make sure it is over 60 degrees where you are painting and paint in a well ventilated area.  Apply several light coats, sanding with fine sand paper in between coats to achieve the smoothest finish.  Then apply your final paint colors in light coats also.  Airbrushing allows more control than spray cans for light coats.
